Just got back to Amsterdam (my new home, for those who didn’t know) after spending a few days in London for the Sprezza Fall Market.
And what an incredible weekend that was.
This is the second time (the first one was in NYC last November) I’ve hosted a retail popup shop for the Sprezza community, and I’m convinced more than ever that this is the way forward for the community.
Sure, it’s fun making things online and creating content here and there, but curating experiences in person like this genuinely gives me the energy to keep building Sprezza.
I can’t tell you how many people (and brands) have said to me that this is what’s missing from the menswear community, which is interesting to hear because I feel like many brands host activations and events all the time. But for people to tell me that these events feel authentic and genuine is actually what I hope to hear.
A few people to thank
We had about 700 people at the popup shop throughout the day.
Yeah.
I was blown away, and I’m always humbled by how many good folks turn up for stuff like this; it’s something I wouldn’t dare take for granted.
And I also have to say: HUGE thank you to my life partner, Hope, for being a sane and supportive life force with our two kids so that I have the creative space to make this happen. You’re incredible <3
So, here are some photos from the weekend, all taken by my brother, Kirk Chambers. He nailed the vibes of the place that day, and I’m super hyped he was able to fly over from Charleston for the weekend.
Last, thank you to the homies Luis and Val at Partiful for helping me make this happen. Your support in bringing these experiences to life made a huge difference.
My pal, Steve Booker posted up outside the store with his BEAUTIFUL 1990 Range Rover that he renovated into a mini coffee shop called Café Nice.
I can’t lie—this was such a fun attraction to add to the experience, and I’m mostly just glad he found parking right out front, ha!
I bought some beers, but the canned cocktails are from the homies at Moth Cocktails, and the non-alcoholic ones are from Brink. Both are delicious, and I’m so glad I could introduce them to many people at the event.
The Brands
The street style
I’ve got way more on my Instagram account here, but here’s a little sample of the absolute SAUCE people came with on Saturday.
Been following Steve for over 10 years now. Great to see you both link up
Hell yea bro 🫡👏👏
