What I’m building this year
Okay, my friends. It's good to be with you again. I’ve had a busy start to 2025, with work trips to Paris and NYC. Now I’m settled back in Europe for a bit, where I road-mapped what I’d like to work on this year, and I’m gonna share that with you!
For context, I only went full-time on Sprezza at the end of last year, even though I’ve been working on it since 2020. This is the first year that I am able to invest more time and energy into improving, properly expand into new content mediums, and so on.
If you’ve been with me since day 1, you’ve seen it evolve quiteee a lot. If you’re new here, welcome! Excited to have all of you.
TL;DR
Here’s a State of the Union on what I’m creating this year and what you can get excited about.
We’ll break down the Sprezza universe into the following:
Newsletter (Email, Substack, written content)
Video (Short-form and long-form on YouTube)
Chat group (we’ve been using Geneva, but we’re moving)
IRL: Events, popups, activations (NYC, London, etc)
Wanted to take a minute to share what’s happening with Sprezza—what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and where we’re going next.
1. The newsletter
This is the heart of Sprezza. I’ve been writing weekly since 2020, back when I was probably one of a couple of men’s style newsletters, hah (shoutout to ACL and David Coggins!).
Starting now, I’m locking in a twice-a-week publishing schedule with 8 monthly emails—a mix of free and paid content.
I’ll send emails on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and here are the topics I’ll cover:
Interviews — Conversations with interesting people doing interesting work, from designers and founders to creatives and those driving culture forward.
What’s in My Brain — Observations, trends, things I like, what’s cool right now.
Shopping Guides — What’s worth buying this month or season.
City Guides — Where to go, what to see, how to travel well.
Town Hall — You ask, I answer—style, business, whatever.
Product Reviews / Basics Program — Reviewing individual pieces, collections, or basics & essentials from independent brands.
Thinking… – These are in-depth pieces on trends, “history of,” ideas I mull over, or more philosophical things.
Something practical — The topic will vary each month, but it’ll involve something related to music, art, home, style, etc.
A note on free vs. paid content:
Interviews will always be free.
Each month, I’ll rotate which emails are free vs. paid so you can get a sense of what the content’s like in each topic.
I’ll be running occasional giveaways too!
If you’re a paid subscriber—thank you so much.
I don’t take lightly that you can spend your hard-earned money in a million ways, so I thank you graciously for investing some of that into Sprezza.

2. The group chat — Geneva to Discord
If you’ve been on this email list for a while, you’ve seen me post about the group chat, which was traditionally on Geneva. Geneva is an awesome tool for creators and communities.
I always loved using it more than Discord and Slack because it was built for communities to go deeper; it was a way to build connections outside the newsletter, and a way to share recommendations and ideas.
Sadly, Geneva turned off access for non-US-based users. So, we’re moving the chat to Discord. Couple of notes about the group chat:
🔹 The chat is free—all are welcome.
🔹 To join, you’ll need to upload a photo of yourself and use your real first/last name so I can keep things in check. No anonymity.
🔹 I want it to a space for daily style convos, product finds, and everything in between.
I’ll send out invites for the Sprezza Discord tomorrow (Friday).
3. Video content with Instagram & YouTube
This year, I’m doubling down on video.
📍 Instagram Reels – Short-form breakdowns on trends, personal style, product recs, etc.
📍 YouTube – Longer-form deep dives, fit guides, brand histories, and behind-the-scenes content.
Video is a big part of Sprezza, and I’m excited to create content that adds depth, personality, and storytelling to the topics I write about here.
You can follow me on IG and YouTube, where I posted my first video this week!
I plan to post
4. IRL Events—coming soon
I don’t have a schedule for 2025 events yet, but I will host some casual meetups, brand events, talks, pop-up shops, and other events. Right now, I am focusing on NYC, London, and Amsterdam. Potentially other cities, too, where it makes sense.
Details to come, but if you want to be the first to know, stay tuned to the newsletter and Discord.
Hey, are discord invites for paid substack subs only?
Where’s the discord link 😩
